The Story

Once in the garden, Peter eats some lettuce, some beans, and some carrots. He also eats some radishes, which makes him feel sick.

While Peter is eating, Mr. McGregor sees him and chases him out of the garden. Peter runs and runs, but Mr. McGregor is faster. Peter eventually gets away, but he loses his jacket and shoes in the process.

Peter returns home to his mother, who is very angry with him. She puts him to bed and gives him some chamomile tea. Peter is very sorry for disobeying his mother, and he promises never to do it again.
